Battle of Horssshoe Bend
Was fought during War of 1812 in Alabama. United States troops and the Indian allies who worked under Colonel Andrew Jackson defeated the Red Sticks, a part of the Creek Indian tribe who were against American growth which ended the Creek War. -
Battle of New Orleans
The British wanted to capture New Orleans, but Andrew Jackson and his sharpshooters stopped them. He became a national hero even though 7 Americans died, and the battle was fought after the war was over. -

Jacoson diliked the bank because he felt it was too powerful. He vowed "I will kill it!". He vetoed the bank's charter when it was up for renewal. -
Indian Removal Act
Andrew Jackson ordered for the native americans to be removed from Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi and onto reservations. This led to the Trail of Tears. -
Worcester VS Georgia
It was a case where the United States Supreme Court said the Cherokee Native Americans should be given federal protection from what the state governments were doing. (Removing them, treating them unfairly). -
Nullification Crisis
Jackson put a protective tariff on goods from Europe in 1828. It hurt the south so they made the Nullification Act so the tariff was illegal.
