In the Supreme Court case of Worcester v. Georgia, Georgia wanted to move the Indians out of their state but Samuel Worcester opposed. In 1814, The Supreme Court ruled that Georgia's plan was unconstitutional. -
Nullification Crisis
When the United States placed a heavy tariff, South Carolina was outraged and threatened to secede. Jackson sought Henry Clay's advice and decided to lower the tariff but took away any right to nullify a federal law. -
Bank War
Andrew Jackson opposed the National Bank because he felt that the President and Administrators of the bank were using it for profit. In 1833, Jackson vetoed the bank and it was demolished.
