Jackson created a protective tarrif that increased importing tax on Europe, this was the highest tax ever, and it hurt the southern states. South Carolina nullified this tarrif and called it the nullification act. They threatened to cecede if the tax wasn't lifted. -

A man and his family were forced out of the Native lands due to a law that Georgia had put out. This case ended in Worcester winning.
