The Battle of Horseshoe Bend was fought on March 27th, 1814 in the War of 1812. At this battle, Jackson defeated a tribe of Indians led by Tecumseh which ended the creek war. -

The battle of New Orleans started in December 1814, and ended January 1815. Because of the American victory, the British were forced to ratify the treaty of Ghent, which ultimately ended the war. -
