In 1828, Congress passed a law raising the national tariff, which South Carolina refused to pay. Andrew Jackson wrote the "Proclamation of the People of South Carolina", It basically said they had to follow federal laws or the government would use military force. South Carolina agreed, but the south was more aware of its disadvantage in the U.S. -

In 1830, Andrew Jackson signed the Indian Removal Act, it forced all Native Americans to move to west of Mississippi river in Trail of Tears and America got to move westward. -
Worcester vs. Georgia
In 1832, the Cherokee went to cout saying that Georgia had to right in taking their lands and changing borders. The federal government agreed with the Cherokee. However, Georgia ignored it and Andrew Jackson didn’t inforce the Supreme Court’s discussion, so the Native Americans were still “kicked out”. -
Bank War
In 1833, Jackson used his power to get rid of the national bank, this caused an economical depression. -
Trail of Tears
In 1838, Native Americans were forced to move out of their lands into Mississippi in a hard and painful trail called the “Trail of Tears”. Many Native Americans died on the way and it helped with the western expansion.
