Known as the corrupt bargain, Jakson runs against John Q. Adams. Adams wins by Henry Clay persudaing the House of Representatives to vote for Adams. Henry Clay is then nominated as the secretary of the State. Jackson becomes mad and angry. -

The election of 1828 was jeld from Oct. 31 to Dec. 2 1828. Andrew Jackson runs against John Q. Adams for president. Jackson wins becoming the seventh president. serving two terms from 1829 - 1837. -
Indian Removal Act
The indian Act was signed by Andrew Jackson into law on May 28,1830. Removing all indians from georgia. authorized the president to negotiate with southern Indians for them to move to federal territory west of the Mississippi River in exchange for their ancestral homelands. -
Worchester Vs. Georgia
The Worcester Vs. Georgia started on Feb. 20 1832. John Marshall made a ruling on Mar.3 1832 ending the case. Georgia made Cherokee land a part of Georgia. The Cherokee went to the supreme court for help. Jackson opposed the ruling. -
nullification crisis
South Carolina oridance of nullification is enacted. South Carolina wants to nullify the "Tariff of abominations" or they will cecede from the US. Jackson decides to slowly lower the tariffs, but he wants more military control added for the president. -
Bank war
Campagin created by Andrew Jackson to destroy the second bank of the United States. Lasted from 1832 to 1841
