    Battle of New Orleans
    On Jan. 8, 1815 Andrew Jackson and his troops battled the british in the last battle of the war of 1812, because communication was slow and his troops didn't know that the peace treaty had already been signed.

    In 1824, Jackson won the popular vote, but no canidates recieved the majority of the electoral college votes, so the house of representatives had to choose the president and by a corrupt bargain Adams won.

    In 1828, the democratic-republican party split, the republicans supported adams, but the democrats supported Jackson. In the election Jackson got most votes for his support for states rights, and won the election

    In 1832, Worcester filed a case against georgia, because he claimed that his familily's forced removal was a violation of his constitutional right. Cheif Justice John Marshall ruled in favor of Worcester, but he still had to move.
