Homestead Strike of 1892 took place in Homestead, Pennsylvania. Closed the mill and locked out the workers, is what Frick did that started the whole Homestead Strike. The Homestead Strike was between the workers Carnegie, and, Frick. Frick hired three hundred Pinkerton Detective Agency guards to fight the workers. Andrew Carnegie put his support in Frick, even though he was in Scotland on a vacation. -

Carnegie built his Company out of nothing. He started with one mill. Then in 1899 his company was the biggest, most successful and most expensive of all the steel companies. -
Sold Carnegie Steel
Carnegie sold Carnegie Steel Company for $450 million to John Pierpont Morgan, a banker. Philanthropy is what Carnegie then devoted himself to. And he soon gave away $350 million. Today the Canegie Steel Company is worth $475 Million. -

Andrew Carnegie died in Lenox, MA, August 11, 1919. Carnegie died of Bronchopneumonia. Bronchopneumonia is the inflammation of the lungs.He was 66 years old when he died.
