Creation of Andorra
In 8th century Europe, the Islamic Moors were advancing on Christian France, and 5,000 people of modern-day Andorra, not liking being considered a portal for the Moors, took up arms against them. After the fighting had ended, Emperor Charlemagne established Andorra as a sovereign state, under the control of the bishop of Catalonia, Spain. -

Joint Leadership Established
After a power struggle in Andorra between the Bishop and Count of Catalonia, the former called upon the Count of Foix for assistance. After a period of a great politcal confusion, documents known as the Pariatges, establishing joint control between the Bishop of Catalonia and the Count of Foix, who would later become the King of France. -

Creation of Council of the Valleys
The residents of Andorra petitioned the co-princes of their nation for a parliament of sorts to consider local issues. The petition was granted and the General Council of the Valleys was created, with four representatives from each of the then six parishes, for a total of 24 members. -
government Acquires Casa de la Vall
This historic building was built in 1580, by the Busquets family. It served as a manor, and the towers as a means of defence. It was purchased by the General Council of the Valleys of Andorra. It has been the location of Andorra's government to the present day. The building underwent renovations in 1962. -
First Road Built
The first official road was built in 1913 in Andorra, thus ending it's isolation with the outside world. It lead to Catalonia, Spain. The road was asphalted later in 1949. -
"King Boris I of Andorra"
Several high ranking officials in the Andorran government supported an attempt by this man to declare himself "King Boris I of Andorra". Guards of the Bishop of Catalonia arrested the man, but the turmoil he created resulted in the judicial branch firing every member of the Council of the Valley (the legislature). The French sent troops to prevent anarchy, and new elections were held (coinciding with universal male suffrage). -
End of War Against Germany
Andorra officially ends it's war on Germany, after finding out that such a thing that had not been done after World War II, the small nation was not invited to the Treaty of Versailles.
