Claudius Ptolemy

220 BCE

Based on observations he made with his naked eye, Ptolemy saw the Universe as a set of nested, transparent spheres, with Earth in the center. although it was false it was an important discovery that allowed astronomers and scientists to open a new world of ideas about the layout of our solar system.

Nicolaus Copernicus

1543

In 1543, Nicolaus Copernicus detailed his radical theory of the Universe in which the Earth, along with the other planets, rotated around the Sun. this changed the understanding of all perspectives of our humanity.

tycho brahe

Tycho brahe discovers the geo-heliocentric model, this is import for later studies involving the understanding of humanity's understanding of the universe and how it would forever be changed.

Johannes Kepler
