This attack from the Mongols was fought in Japan after the Mongols landed at a port in Masan. This raid destroyed Japanese resources and did a lot of damage to them. This raid also almost exterminated all of the Samurais. This raid was alomst succesful but then a typhoon came in and destroyed the last Mongol stronghold. -

While he was alive, Kublai Khan conquered China and became the very first emporer of the Yuan Dynasty. He was also the first non Han emporer of China. He was also the grandson of Genghis Khan. He died at age 79, which was extremley old for that time. It is said that he died of old age. -

Firearms arrive in Japan from Portugese traders
In 1542, 3 Portugese traders named António Mota, Francisco Zeimoto and António Peixoto, arrived in Japan. With them, they brought firearms or guns to trade with the Japanese people. The potrugese people landed in the southern tip of Tanegashim, where they gave the Japanese population that lived there guns. -
