Stamp act 1765
The stamp act of 1765 was an act delivered in New York by the government that says that items bought by the people must carry a tax stamp. This was implemented to pay for money lost in wars. It was implemented by the British Parliament. It was implemented in March 22 1765. -
British parliament
On June 2 1774, the British Parliament passed a series of laws known as the Intolerable Acts, with the intent to suppress unrest in colonial Boston by closing the port and placing it under martial law.
These were passed as a response to the resistance that the people in the United States colonies were showing. -

In July 4 1776 the declaration of independence was declared. It was made so that the United States would be it’s own independent nation. The Declaration of Independence represents the United States victory over the British and how they left them and are independent now. It was drafted by Thomas Jefferson. It was drafted in Philadelphia. -
Siege of York town
On September 28, 1781, George Washington, commanded a force of 17,000 French and Continental troops, began the siege of the Battle of Yorktown against British Lord Charles Cornwallis and a contingent of 9,000 British troops at Yorktown, Virginia. This battle was the most important battle in the revolutionary war as this war decided America’s fate. -
Treaty of Paris
On September 3 1783 the treaty of Paris was signed. It was signed to put a end to the war between the United States and the British. The treaty was signed in Paris, France. representatives from the United States, Great Britain, France and Spain signed the treaty. -
Delegates
On may 14 1787 delegates arrived to write a new constitution and on may 25 1787 a New constitution was being made, its was made to replace the article’s of confederation. It was presided by George Washington. The new constitution was a new set of laws meant to amend the articles of confederation.
