The french and Indian war caused Britain to lose money causing them to tax the colonists who then started the american revolution. It also made the British weaker causing the colonists actions to have a better effect. -

Boston Massacre
The Boston massacre was the first conflict between the British and the colonists in which colonists had been killed. This caused more tension and anger and the colonists to work harder and be more determined to win their freedom. -
Boston tea party
This event was a way of the colonists not accepting taxation so they rebelled to show the British they will not be treated like that. this fueled the tension that was already very much present between the British and the colonists. -
Minutemen
They were capable of being ready in a minute's notice, Because of this they were able to fight the rebellious colonists much faster. -
Boston port act
The boston port act closed the boston harbor to any trade. After this had been enforced the colonies decided to ban together and fight for their freedom. -
First continental congress
The first continental congress got all 13 colonies except for Georgia to boycott, The boycotts were an important part of the revolution because it helped show the british that if they were gonna tax the colonies then the colonies were not gonna buy anything that forced them to pay taxes. -
“Give me liberty or give me death” speech
The “liberty or death” speech helped convince many in attendance to go up against great britain. Without this speech many of the army that won america wouldn't have fought giving britain a much better chance of winning. -

The battle of Lexington was the first battle in the revolutionary war which led to many more eventually leading to victory. -
Battle of concord
The battle of concord was one of the first things the colonists had won against the British. It restored their confidence and faith. -
Second continental congress
The second continental congress was the first time the colonies attempted to create a government for themselves. They managed to create armies and treaties and things like that without which we may not have won. -
Battle of bunker hill
The British won this battle but the colonies inflicted significant losses on the British giving the colonies much needed confidence. -

The documents provided a structure while the people of america learned how to follow the new rules of government. -
Declaration of independence
The declaration of independence was extremely important in the american revolution, it contained things like nation goals, complaints, and reasons for why freedom was so badly wanted and fought for. -
Hessians
The hessians fought in the revolutionary war and were probably some of Britains most trained soldiers. Without them Britain would not have put up such a fight and the king would have had to tax Britain most likely having Britain turn on them slightly. -
