    John Paul captures the Serapes
    John paul is consdiered the father of the United States navy for his actions in the waters during the revolution. He was uttered a famous phrase towards a requeast to surrender by a british naval captain. I have not yet begin to fight are those famous words. whcih were uttered during his battle between the USS Serpaes.

    Lexington and Concord
    The battles of Lexington and Concord were the first real engagments of the revolutionary war. The minute-men or patriot colonials attacked the british as they marched onto concord to destroy a bunker of weapons. The colonials set up places fo ambush along the road the british had to walk as well as using their surrounding areaa as hiding spots. This was the spark that started the revoulutionary war more commonly named by "The shot heard around the world"
  • Second Continental Congress

    Second Continental Congress
    This congress is was just a continuation of the first continental congress with 56 of the same members from the first congress. John Hancock and Benjamin Franklin joined this congress and the president Peyton Randolph left to go to the house of Burgesses. Thomas jefferson was appointed president sortly after.
  • Bunker Hill

    The battle of Bunker hill acutally took place on Breeds hill while bunker hill was the main objective for the british and colonial troops. The colonial troops were forced to retreatin the end. Even though the colonial troops lost this battle they wounded 800 soliders and killing 226 Soliders with large numbers of british officers dead.

    George Washington the leader fo the colonial army crossed the delaware river to get inbetween enemy lines to defeat the hessian soliders that were stationed at Trenton, New Jersey. This win boosted the moral of the continental army since they had been losing constantly so the moral of the army was low. This was of the couple turning points in war since New York was a major shipping port.

    A major turning point in the Revoulutionary war the battle lasted for a total of 18 days. The british surrounded on october 17 with the colonial army beating British general John Burgoyne's army. With the defeat of Burgoyne's army the french came into the war as an american ally bringing ammounition, guns, and food.

    A militray camp in Pennslyvania where the amreican troops stayed for the winter of 1777-1778. Many soliders died from starvation, disease, and exposure during this timeframe approximately 2,500 american soliders died. A major blow for the small american army of George Washington.

    The battle of King's Moutain was a decisive battle between the Patriot and Loyalist militias in the American Revolutionary War.
    This battle boosted the morals of the Amercian armywhich was again lowered by the defeats from Cornwallis in the south. Cornwallis was forced to retreat to south Carlonia then invade north carolina like he had planned.

    The last major battle fot he American Revolution where the colonial army defeated the legendary general Lord Cornwallis. Cornwallis fought against the combined armyof the american and french army at New York, Yorktown. This last major lose to the british forced them to take up negotitations to end the war.

In this farwell letter he mainly warned america about political dangers if they want to stay thems elves and not get caught up so they don't lose their true values.
