    The seven year French and Indain war ended with the treaties of Hubertusberg and Parice in Febuary 1763. France lost all claims on Canada and gave Louisiana to Spain, While Britain got Florida from Spain,Upper Canada, and various French holdins over seas.

    The sugar act was passed by the British parliament April 5, 1764. the earlier molases act taxes had never been properly collected because of the colonial evasion. The British hoped these taxes could be properly collected . This act increased the colonists worries and helped along the growing movement that became the American Revolution.

    On the cold snowy night of March 5,1770, the Boston Massacre was the killing of 5 men and boys. A mob of about 50 colonists outside the customs house taunting and throwing snowballs and oyster shells at the British Soldiers standing guard.The British called for renforcements to join the British. The colonists kept throughing at them. a soldier got hit and accsidently fired his rifle, the other soldiers fired in to the croud and when the smoke cleared five men were eather dead or dying

    The First Continental Congress was a convention of represenatives from twelve colonies ( Georgia was not represented) that met on September 5, 1774, at Carpenders' Hall in Philadelphia, Pensilvania. It was called in response to the passage of the Intolerable Acts by the British Parliament. The Intolerable Acts had punished Boston for the Boston Tea Party. The Congress met briefly to consider options, including a boycott of British trade; rights and grievances; and petitioned King George.

    Paul Revere was a Boston silver smith, who helped organize an alarm system to keep watch on the British military. On the night of April 18, 1775, Paul Revere was sent by Dr. Joseph Warren and instructed to ride through Lexington, Massachusetts, to warn Samuel Adams and John Handcock that the British troops were marching to arrest them.

    Th Battle of Bunker Hill was the misnamed battle on June 17, 1775. This battle is misnamed because it really to place on Breed's hill. The Americans repelled the British the first two attacks, but were forced to retreat when they ran out of ammunition. The Battle was bad for the British becuase they lost 40% of their force. Even though the Americans were defeated, it proved the British could suffer great losses, too, giving encouragement to the americans.

    Valley Forge was the site of the millitary camp of the American Continental Army over the winter of 1777-1778 during the American Revolutionary War. It was about 20 miles noerthwest of Philadelphia. Starvation, disease, and expousure killed nearly 2,500 American soldiers by the end of Feburary 1778.
