    The French and Indian War, also known as the 7 year was, was a conflict between the French and Great Britain. They were at war for North American land and the British ended up defeating the French. The victory of the French and Indian war gave Great Britain a huge gain in land in north America.
  • The Stamp Act of 1765

    The Stamp Act of 1765
    The Stamp Act of 1765 was when the British government taxed the Americans without their consent. They would put stamps in different products like documents, paper, and playing cards, This act contributed to the Boston Tea Party event later on.
  • The Sons of Liberty

    The Sons of Liberty
    The Sons of Liberty was a name for the groups of people who disagreed, and even fought, the British for the rule of the 13 American colonies. Later these 13 colonies became the first 13 colonies of the United States.

    The Townshend Act of 1767 was an act where the British taxed the Americans for Glass, paint, paper, and tea. People were also mad with this act in addition with the Stamp act.

    The Boston Massacre was an event were British troops shot at a crowed where it killed 5 people. The crowd was a mob and after one person attached a solder, that same solder shot the civilian, which led to more shots being fired. After this event a campaign and speeches were made for the civilians who were killed by the solders.

    The Boston Tea Party was a protest where about 60 Americans threw approximately 342 chests of tea into the Boston harbor. The reason of this is because of the taxing act on tea which made the Americans mad and made them protest. The Boston tea party was one of the first things to bring up the American revolution.

    The Intolerable Acts (Coercive Acts) was an act where the British Parliament made 4 new laws. The 4 new laws were made to punish the people who participated in the Boston Tea Party

    The British arrived at Yorktown and Concord to take the weapons of the people but when they arrive they were met with about 70 men with weapons. Nothing happened at first but they someone fired which scared the British to fire at the men which started the battle. The British were out numbered and lost to the Americans.

    The Battle of Bunker Hill took place on a hill and it was a battle between the British and the American Patriots. The battle was so long that both sides ran out of ammunition. The British ended up winning because their muskets were equipped with bayonets and the Americans were not

    The Olive Branch Petition sent to England was created by the Congress to King George III. The king refused to even read the petition and continued with the war.

    Before the Battle of Trenton, George Washington, who was a general at the time, had an army with him and they were all ready to give up. The Battle of Trenton began and George Washington's army won and that sparked the men to continue fighting.

    The Battle of Camden was a battle between the British and American army. The Americans were overpowering, so the British lead them miles north of the Camden. this strengthened the British and helped them win.

    The Battle of Yorktown was a short fight which ended up forcing the British to surrender. They were surrounded by the Continental Army and the French. This also made the British sign a treaty which ended the American Revolution.

    The Treaty of Paris was the treaty that ended the American Revolution. The treaty stated that the U.S. was now recognized as its own state. The U.S. also kept the land won and that was made The U.S.

    The 3/5 Compromise was when people were counted for taxation and population, a slave would be counted as a 3/5 of a person. This dehumanized the slaves from the whole person they actually were.
