  • Battle of Lexington

    The battle of Lexington was a major turning point because it was the first battle of the war which impacted the change of momentum. This also marked the beginning of the American Revolution.
  • Thomas Gage and The battle of Concord

    Thomas Gage was appointed commander in chief of all British forces in North America, he killed seven Americans and marched to Concord with a larger army but the American Militia stopped the British from moving any further.
  • George Washington

    George Washington was named commander in chief of the Contential army
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    The Americans were told to hold their fire to save ammunition but once the British came closer and closer they all started firing. The Americans were outnumbered once the British came to attack again so they were forced to retreat, this changed the momentum during the battle.

    The Continental army battled for six years. Washington lead the army to many victories and later Great Britian surrendered.

    In 1777, the Continentals captured a British army that resulted France to enter the war on the side of the Americans. In early 1778 the military had strengthened with Britain.

    After two years the French and Dutch also went to war against Britain as French Allies. A year after the French unfold another victory in Chesapeake a second British army surrendered. this was a advantage for the French.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    The battle of Yorktown was considered the (resolution) final battle of the American Revolution and caused the British to surrender and leave America.
