The Boston Massacre
In this event people from Boston were throwing snowballs and other debris at the British soldiers. One of the citizens shouted fire which made the soldiers fire upon the citizens. In court the soldiers were found not guilty. This is the document that declared independence for the Americans. This document was adopted on July 4, 1776. This event is important because it was what actually declared the American's freedom. -

This battle was huge American victory. The American leaders were Benedict Arnold and General Horatio Gates. Those two leaders defeated John Burgoyne. This was a huge win for the Americans because it was a turning point in the war. France Signs Treaties of Alliance With the Americans.
France signs the treaties with the Americans which is very important because it also got the Spanish on the American's side. The Spanish helped the Americans because Spain and France are allies. It extremely helped the Americans outnumber the British. -
The Battle of King's Mountain
The Americans won the battle and afterward killed most of the British Army that was there. It was kind of a revenge mission to kill all of the Loyalists. It was a very important battle because it was one of the British's first southern battle losses. -
The Battle of Yorktown
This battle was the last big battle of the Revolutionary War. This was a huge American victory. Lord North, Great Britain's prime minister, said,"It is all over" after that battle.
