    The British and French fought each other in North America. The British won and gained a lot of land, but also a lot of debt. Because this happened, they taxed the colonists which upset them creating tension that would lead to the revolution.

    The Stamp Act was something the government created for people to pay taxes. Taxes got paid by Britain colonies and other things such as playing cards, newspapers, and documents all required taxes. They paid taxes for Military troops in American colonies after the war.

    The Boston Massacre was an event when a group of people were protesting on King Street and a soilder shot in a crowd. People were marching because they wanted the king's money. But instead, a man misheard and fired a shot at the end crowd. This led to altercations and left some colonists dead.

    The leading of this came from the people getting annoyed by the cops that were put on them, so they prepared and decided to stand up and fight back. This was the beginning independence war.

    The British were finally defeated in the second battle. They were traded by a leader so they planned to fight. The US ended up winning this battle, and Britain wasn't able to control the Hudson River Valley.

    Britain sent troops to the hills to surround the city so they could have control. England soldiers decided to fight back so Britain could know that they were gonna stand their own ground.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    The British General surrendered his army of 8,000 me to a general at Yorktown. The victory led directly to the peace negotiations that ended giving Americans independence
  • Treaty of Pairs

    Treaty of Pairs
    This is the treaty that ended the American Revolution and recognized the US as an independent nation. This granted the US significant Western territory. The trusted person as the US government.
