The British left New York City with a huge fleet. By 1780, the British trapped the Americans in Charleston. The Americans offered to surrender but the British refused and resumed the battle. The British offered the Americans to surrender but they refused so the British went on with the battle. The Pamphlet was credited with average citizens and leaders behind the independence. The Pamphlet played a major role in transforming a colonial squabble into the American revolution. Stamp act
The Stamp Act was a tax that helped pay for the British soldiers stationed in the colonies. The Colonists were required to pay a tax on various forms of papers. Battle of Trenton/Princeton
General George Washington's army made their way on December 26 to Trenton to defeat the Hessian Mercenaries. A week later, they returned to Trenton to lure the British South. They then led a daring night to capture Princetown. The Victories helped America regain control of New Jersey. -
