    The Enlightenment was a age of time of intelligence, During this time period a lot of books, inventions, discoveries, and laws were made. Basically it was a time where people emphasized science over blind faith.
  • French and Indian war

    French and Indian war
    The French and Indian war started began in 1754 and ended in 1763, Because of the war the British got an enormous territory gain over the North America.
  • Sons of Liberty

    Sons of Liberty
    The Sons of Liberty were formed in the early 1765, they were a group of mean people who threatened and sometimes even enforced violence against citizens. The reason this group of people did this is to make the loyalists outrage the British Government.
  • Stamp Act of 1765

    Stamp Act of 1765
    This act was enforced on the year 1765 and required colonist to pay taxes, the tax was represented by a stamp. It was a direct tax by the British Goverment.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    On March 5, 1770 in the late afternoon British soldiers that were guarding the Boston Customs House shot into a crowd of people. The shooting resulted in the death of 3 men and injuring 8 other civilian's two of them mortally.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party was on December 16th, 1773, it was located at Griffin's Wharf in Boston. The American colonist were mad at Boston for taxation without representation so they went out at night and dumped 342 chests of tea into the sea.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    The Battle of Bunker Hill was located in Massachusetts, on the year 1775. The Americans were defeated by the superior and stronger British army. Although the Americans lost they showed they can hold their own against the strong British army.
  • Battle of Trenton

    In New Jersey on December 26, 1776 after the crossing of the Delaware river George Washington's army defeated a army of Hessians soldiers at Trenton. The victory helped the morale of America and American soldiers and also set a stage for another success at Princeton a week later.
  • Battle of Camden

    On August 16, 1780 the Americans got defeated by the British it was the worst American defeat in the field. It also left the British in control on the southern colonies for a short amount of time.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    On the year 1781 George Washington's soldiers defeated Lord Charles Cornwall's army. With the help of the French army and the Navy made the army strong enough to win this battle.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    The Treaty of Paris was a document signed by the U.S and British on September 3, 1783. What this document was meant for is to end the war of the American Revolution, The two came up with an agreement and granted the U.S western territory.
