Common Sense was written by Thomas Paine who wrote it for everyone to understand. He wanted to show the colonists how the king treated them. -

It was a document that stated their inherent rights of men, including the right to rebel against inadequate government. -

This document announce the thirteen colonies seperation from Great Britain. They regarded themselves an independent state and no longer under the rule of the British empire. -

The Battle of Saratoga decided the fate for the Britsh. The Americans ended up winning the battle because Burgoyne didn't have enough help. -

Washington decides to retire for the winter at Valley Forge. It was a brutal winter for the men because they were running out of supplies. -
Siege of Charleston
It was one of the major battles that took place towards the end of the American Revolution. After about six weeks of siege General Benjamin Lincoln surrenders. -
