Starting on April 19, 1775, Thomas Gage, a British general, was planning to seize the secret weapons and ammunition that the Americans had been holding in Concord, Massachussetts. Concord
The Battle of Concord took place first over the Concord River where the British killed two of the American minutemen. The Americans ran back for extra support and on the way back home for the British, Americans hid behind trees and began shooting and starting fires to destroy the large British army. Britain was astounded by this fighting because they believed that any man would fight each other out in the open, but the Americans went Indian style and did it secretley. This battle occurred -

because of the devestating action from the British killing the two American minutemen. They were also aiming for revenge due to the embarrassment from the battle of Lexington. The Americans ended up winning that battle due to the new fighting tactic used by the Indians. This battle affected the world overall because it came to be America's first victory in the Revolutionary War showing the people that they may actually have a chance of earning their independence. -

The Americans (right) fought the British (left) until the Americans called for help and then they all left the bridge and the Americans defeated them using the Indian method.

*In the following picture, it shows the British (right wearing red coats) coming up toward the few American minutemen and then the brave minutemen run away at the sight of 1000s of British soldiers. The British are just fleeting over, only few of the Americans (left) were actually killed, the rest just ran, no one knows who had the first gun shot.

Fort Ticonderoga
In the Battle of Fort Ticonderoga, the Americans planned an attack. They were out of ammuniton and needed more weapons to keep them in the war. As a sneak attack, Ethan Allen decided to march his troops up to Fort Ticonderoga which was by Lake Champlain because it holds much ammunition and is right on the waterways to Canada. America surpriesed the British and took that British fort along with loads of ammumnition, it was an embarrassment to Britain. This battle affected the war because it was -

Extra info on the Battle of Fort Ticonderogaanother victory for America and it was great to embarrass the British and showing Americans once again that we may have a chance for our independence.
*This picture shows the real surprise of America's attack, Ethan Allen's troops stormed through the city and he knocked on General Gage's door while he was still putting his trousers on and forced him to surrender the fort and its belongings. It was a pleasing victory for the Americans.

Bunker Hill
In the Battle of Bunker Hill, the American army was developing a plan to try to receive Bunker Hill. But, after the first day of trying to plan, the British attacked the Americans on Breed's Hill even though they were fighting for Bunker Hill. The British ended up winning that battle but the Americans put up a good fight, cause the British to lose about 1,000 men, it wasn't an embarrassment, we actually worked really hard and came close to achieving their goal of taking Bunker Hill. -
Bunker Hill (CONTINUATION)
This battle was fought to recevie Bunker Hill, they both wanted that piece of land and unfortunately Britain won and took Bunker Hill. This Battle affected the war because even though the British gained Bunker Hill, they lost a lot of men from the American's strong fighting which once again showed the Americans that even though they lost they are powerful and can still possibly win the war.

Extra info on the battle of Bunker Hillfighting over Bunker Hill on Breed's Hill. This picture also shows many British soldiers dying on the ground because the Americans were playing hard ball but unfortunately the British ended up pulling through and winnning it.

Quebec (CONTINUATION)
This battle affected the world overall because it caused the people of Canada who were over the fence of joining the army to say that they were going to stay out of it because the Americans just lost a battle and were so pathetic they were running away and it was chaos. This caused most Canadians to not join the American army.

Quebec
The Battle of Quebec took place in Canada. It was the Americans goal to take over Canada for a revolutionary cause. They wanted to show the Candadians that they aren't so bad of an army and could probably beat the British therefore recruiting Candadians to join their side. Although, things didn't go as planned, when the Americans attacked, they were completely ambushed. It was a true emmbarrassment to the Americans, the Candadians definatley didn't want to move to their side at all anymore. -
Siege of Boston
The siege of Boston took place in Boston and its surrounding areas. What happened was Henry Knox and the Americans wanted Boston. They decided to put canons really close by and threatened to cut of their lifeline supply from their navy and they also surrounded them. Seeming to have no choice, General Howe, decided to surrender Boston and they cleared out. America won the battle and now had Boston in their hands, they finally achieved their biggest goal. the Americans gained Boston which was the land they were trying to take all along. This was a huge victory for the British and they were proud to have Boston.
