the British's purpose was to cease all guns and resources the colonists had, but failed. -

This battle was won by the Americans who used Guerilla-like tactics and snuck into the fort at night time to attack the sleeping redcoats. This victory was crucial for the Americans as it provided them with enough resources to keep the war going. -

This battle was the first face-to-face battle between the Redcoats and the Americans. Even though in reality the British won this battle, it was a major boost for the colonists as they managed to cause a huge different in casualties between both sides. -

Crucial win for the American Army against a force of British soldiers which not only helped boost hopes for independence but also provided foreign recognition which was a huge help for Americans. -

The Winter at Valley Forge was an extensive amount of time were American troops suffered through a crazy winter that eventually killed hundreds of soldiers due to diseases. The soldiers stayed together and were encouraged by the fact that commander George Washington stuck with them. -

This treaty was a recognition of Independence of the United States. It created a trading system between France and the United States and an army force against Great Britain. -

The Battle of Charleston was the first time American troops surrendered to British power. The small group of soldiers was led by General Charles Lee. -

In the Battle of Springfield, British troops were winning the battle until they had to retreat due to incoming reinforcements for the American soldiers. This American victory was a big help for independence as it made the British lose all hopes of reigning New Jersey. -

The Treaty of Paris was signed at the Hotel D'York in 1783 and finally ended the American Revolution and all fighting between American and British sides. This treaty officially recognized the United States of America as a nation.
