It marked the turning point of the war giving the Americans a decisive victory over the British troops. It was the first British surrender in the Revolutionary war and was a crucial victory for the American patriots. -
The Winter at Valley Forge
The American and British had a hard time during the Winter of Valley Forge but more of the Americans. With not being able to stay inside and running out of supplies the american soldiers where getting sick and hundreds of them where dying. The only thing holding them together was the patriotic cause and George Washington. This was good for the British because Americans lost men giving them an advantage over the colonists. -

It gave the soldiers something to fight for and also was the point where america said they were fighting for their independence from Great Britain. It was important because it listed what we were fighting for and was written by Thomas Jefferson. -

The battle of Yorktown was the last battle of the revolution and was the surrender of general Cornwallis to american colonists. The British were trapped at Yorktown surrendered by Americans and French troops. The battle of Yorktown let everyone know that the end was finally over.
