    A troop of British soldiers were patrolling through Boston when a group of protestors showed up and began to swell. The protestors were "armed" with snow and sticks. Someone fired first and then the British started to fire into the crowd. The protestors did not really fight back so it was asymmetrical.

    In the dead of night a group of patriots, dressed as Mohawk Indians, boarded a ship that was shipping British tea and began to throw it overboard. This is asymmetrical because the British did not expect this.

    The British were marching through Lexington and Concord. the British were met by a small force of Americans. Someone fired first and the British decimated the American forces, whom were sent running. this was symmetrical fighting the Americans fought in a line and retreated when defeated.

    American soldiers were fighting the British, the Americans were on the hill with the British rushing up the hill at them. The Americans were using a barricade and were shooting the British down with minimal casualties until the end of the battle.

    Washington had a spy in Fort Trenton who gave him vital info. On Christmas night Washington and his men crossed the Delaware River at three different locations going for a three prong attack on the fort. When the British reinforcements arrived, the Americans were long gone and took the town of Princeton where the British forces left unguarded.

    At the battle of Saratoga General Burgoyne was defeated by general Gates. This battle led to the french to sing the Treaty of Alliance.
  • Valley Forge

    Around 12,000 men and women of the continental army settled in Valley Forge during the winter. During the time spent there a Russian general was hired by Franklin to train the army to be professional. they made their own homes instead of inhabiting the peoples houses. the conditions were poor with poor clothes, little food, and malnutrition. These tactics are asymmetrical because the Americans did what the British didn't expect.

    Battel of the South/Charleston
    General Green decided that the best tactic was to asymmetrically run away. He was short on troops so he was running the British around the country until they ran out of supplies and were forced to take the colonists supplies by force. He wasn't able to get more troops because the Virginia wouldnt send any.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    British general Cornwallis was surrounded by Americans in the front and French by sea. This is Symmetrical because they were doing trench warfare. The Americans won.
