The Battle of Saratoga was considered the turning point of the American Revolution. British General, John Burgoyne surrendered to Continental General, Horatio Gates after loosing 1,000 men. -

Valley Forge was the six month encampment of the Continental Army under the command of George Washington. There was no battle at Valley Forge however it was a struggle against the elements for survival. -
Battle of Yorktown
The Battle of Yorktown led to the end of the American Revolution. The British General Charles Cornwallis surrendered to Continental General George Washington after Washington was effectively directing the colonists to use Guerrilla War Tactics. (Also known as the Siege of Yorktown) -
The Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris formally ended the war. After the battle of Yorktown the continental congress appointed a small group of American statesmen to travel to Paris and negotiate the peace treaty.
