    The proclamation Line of 1763 was a boundary built in the application mountains to separate the British and the colonist. The British government wanted to build a boundary because they didn't want the american colonist crossing the application mountains, if they did the might create tension with the french and native Americans there.

    The stamp act
    The stamp act was the British taxing the american colonists. They taxed newspaper, almanacs, dice, etc. The British taxed the colonist because they wanted more money. Taxes were meant to recoup British costs protecting the colonists, They were being forced to pay the British war debt. The stamp act congress met in the fall of 1765 to make a direct appeal to parliament to repeal the crazy taxes, the colonist used paper money while the British used coins as money.

    The Boston Massacre was starting to get more red coats. There is a story where something was going on and colonists were insulting the British soldiers. They threw snowballs and ice at them. Since that was happening more British soldiers came to defend the other soldiers. And someone in the crowd yelled "fire." so the red coats shot into the crowd, which made the colonists even more angry. But no one is at fault.

    The tea act was in 1773, parliament passed the tea act. Which granted the east India company the right to import tea into the colonies. Colonists still had to pay tax, the tea act affected all the colonies. There were lots of protests.

Now the colonists were afraid there would be more goods being taxed like tea, alcohol, and sugar. But now the colonies have to pay for crossing the proclamation line. After being taxed the colonies decide to strike back by throwing the British tea off into the Boston harbor and make it so its a waste of tea for the British empire.

    The intolerable acts was a major point for the colonies, it was 4 different acts/laws. the Boston port was the 1st act, it was when British navy blocked off the British harbor and the British port. The next act which is the 2nd act is the Massachusetts government act, the king and queen basically in charge of everything. They made all the choices. The 3rd act was the act of administration, no rights to a free trial. The quartering act was the fourth act was when British spoilers invaded homes.

    Common sense tried to convince the loyalists to rebel. The common sense was focused on making loyalists become free/patriots, loyalists started to be a patriot so that made the patriots have more people. The king wouldn't accept the Olive Branch petition, he did not like it.

    The battle of Saratoga was the British wanting to isolate the new England colonies. British wanted 3 armies to capture the city of Albany, New York. There were 2 battles of Saratoga, the British won the first battle and the Americans were victorious at the second.

    The war at the south was the battle of Charleston, the seige of Charleston. Lincoln was forced to surrender but he refused to.

    The battle of Yorktown was the final large battle, Cornwallis chose to travel to Yorktown to get supplies in and enough military needs. Yorktown got surrounded and general Cornwallis decided to surrender.
