The Battle of Yorktown
The Battle of Yorktown was one of the losses to the British southern army. The American army, led by George Washington, marched from New York to Virginia to try to capture the British southern army led by General Charles Cornwallis. Cornwallis and his men were waiting in Yorktown for supplies and reinforcements from New York. The American army was not fast enough as the Continental and French army and a French navy contingent beat them to the British army. The British were forced to surrender. -
The Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris was signed on February 10, 1763. It was signed by Great Britain, France, and Spain with Portugal in agreement after the the victory of Great Britain over France and Spain. This treaty formally ended the Seven Years War. -
United States Constitution
The United States Constitution was signed on September 17, 1787. The Constitution was written to rework the entire government after many Americans felt the government was too weak under the Articles of Confederation.The Constitution included the federal system and the three branch system. The Constitution includes the preamble, the 7 articles, and the 25 amendments.
