    The redcoats reached Lexington Massachusetts. Throughtout the first battle of the Revolutionary War, 8 minutemen were killed in a 15 minute battle.

    The British marched on to Concord after a brief skimish with mintuemen. This was the first time the British was defeated.
  • Philadelphia

    Philadelphia conducted the Second Continental Congress. The Continental Army agree to have George Wastington to be the commander. They had a lot of disagreements if they wanted to become a state itself or help with the Great Britians.
  • Bunker Hill

    Bunker Hill
    Thomas Gage sent 2,400 British soliders up towards the hill. The colonist didn't fight back unitl the end, but they lost 450 men during the battle. The Bunker Hill was prove that it was the dealiest battle of the war.

    The British wanted to stop the rebellion by taking out New England, they had to sail towards New York in the summer time of 1776 with 32,000 soliders, and thoasand German merenaries, and a couple of Hessians.

    George Wastington wanted more land so therefere they headed to Delaware river and took over Trenton, New Jersey. They defeated the Hessians and caught them by surprise.

    The Saratoga was one of the most important events in the revolutionary war. The Saratoga won against the French belief of the Americans winning in the war.

    During this war 2,000 soliders died because disease. Washington led his 12,000-man army into winter quarters at Valley Forge, located approximately 18 miles northwest of Philadelphia

    Marquis asked the French for French reinforcements for the Americans to go battle with. During the last couple years of the war, he was a leader and was the command of Virginia
  • Yorktown

    The British surrended to the Americans. The leaders of the British was Henry Clinton and Charles Cornwallis.

    The delegates signed the Treaty of Paris, so the U.S. indenpence was confirmed. They set boundaries of the new nation. The boundaries was from the Altanic Ocean to the Mississippi River to from Canada to the Florida border.
