A riot in Boston on March 5, 1770, caused by the resentment of Boston colonists toward British troops quartered in the city, resulted in the troops firing on the mob and killing several people. -
The Tea Act
The Tea Act of 1773 was an Act of the British Parliament. The principal objective was to reduce the massive amount of tea held by the financially troubled British East India Company in its London warehouses and to help the struggling company survive. -
Boston Tea Party
On the night of December 16, 1773, Samuel Adams and the Sons of Liberty boarded three ships in the Boston harbor and threw 342 chests of tea overboard,dressed as Native Americans, furious about the amount of tax on it. -

The Battles of Lexington and Concord were the first military engagements of the American Revolutionary War. -

On July 4, 1776, Tomas Jefferson and people from the continental congress signed a document that declared independence from Great Britain. -
Nathan Hale
Nathan Hale was a American Patriot that was a spy for the Continental Army. He was captured and hung on September 22, 1776. His famous quote before he died was, " I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country." -
George Washington Crossing the Delaware River
George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River, on the night of December 25–26, 1776, during the American Revolutionary War, was the first move in a surprise attack organized by George Washington against the Hessian forces in Trenton, New Jersey, on the morning of December 26. -
Final Battle of the Revolutionary War
The Siege of Yorktown, also known as the Battle of Yorktown, ended on October 19, 1781, at Yorktown, Virginia. This was a decisive victory by a combined force of American Continental Army troops led by General George Washington. -
The Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris, negotiated between the United States and Great Britain on September 3, 1783, ended the Revolutionary War and recognized American independence. -
