    The Charleston Tea Party was 13 days before the more famous one called the Boston Tea Party. Instead of dumping it into the harbor, they unloaded the tea and stored it in the Exchange building during the Charleston Tea Party.

    When the first shot was fired, people didn't know what side shot first and that lead to the beginning of the American Revolution. The British sent 700 solders to capture colonial weapons and ended up fighting a militia of colonists that defeated the British solders.

    Last major battle in South Carolina. This battle was a British victory In this battle, the British were cut off from their major cities and they couldn’t stop the movement of supplies.

    A Patriot victory, became the last battle of the war and General Cornwallis surrendered to George Washington. General George Washington was commanding a force of 17,000 French and Continental troops.
  • The Treaty of Paris

    The Treaty of Paris
    The Treaty of Paris was signed, officially ending the American Revolution, as well as changing the boundaries of American and other British colonies. The British finally recognized the United States as equal. The colonists were finally happy among the states. After signing this, it led to peace and happiness between the United States and the British.
