The Battles of Lexington and Concord, Lexington and Concord Massachusetts
The first battle of the American Revolution. British Matilia started their march into Boston seize an arms cache. Paul Revere and other riders warned everyone and colonial militiamen began mobilizing to surprise the British. The colonist stopped and hid at Lexington waiting for the British. Once the British showed up the colonist took the first shot which started the battle of Lexington and Concord. -
The Siege of Fort Ticonderoga, Fort Ticonderoga, New York
Benedict Arnold joined Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys in a dawn attack on the fort, surprising and capturing the sleeping British garrison. The Battle of Fort Ticonderoga was the first American victory of the Revolutionary War. -

The Battle of Chelsea Creek took place on Saturday, May 27, 1775. It was the first naval engagement of the Revolutionary War. This war ended in a victory to the colonist. -

On June 17, 1775 the British defeated the Americans at the Battle of Bunker Hill in Massachusetts. Even though the colonist set up on top of the hill giving them an advantage they still suffered the loss in this battle. -
The Battle of Quebec, Quebec City, Province of Quebec
The Battle of Quebec Was when Colonel Benedict Arnold and General Richard Montgomery attempted to capture the British occupied city of Quebec and with it win support for the American cause in Canada. The attack failed and this was the first major defeat of the war for the Americans, and it came with heavy losses. -
The Battle of Long Island (Brooklyn Heights) Long Island, New York
The British went to seize control of new york so that the British can isolate New England from the rest of the colonies. The invasion could've led to the surrender of general Washington and his men but he was able to escape with his men and keep on fighting. The British were successful in seizing New York. -
The Battle of White Plains, White Plains, New York
A battle in which the colonial forces didn't have as much men as it normally did which forces Washington to retreat allowing the British to win this battle. -
The Battle of Fort Washington, Washington Heights, Manhattan, New York
The British after winning the previous battle they decide to attack the colonist at fort Washington while they are weak. A surprise attack on the colonist didn't go well they were already outnumbered and weren't expecting an attack that forced the colonist to retreat out of their own base leaving the British to take it over. This war was recorded to be one of the worst losses the colonist had. -
The Battle of Trenton, Trenton, New Jersey
A small battle that took place in Trenton on December 26 the day after christmas. Washington and his men sailed across the Delaware river to the British base in Trenton the night before. He Arrived in the morning of the next day and attacked the hired German soldiers that served under the British. This battle was a short victory but was very worth it in the war. -
The Battle of Princeton, Princeton, New Jersey
The British Preparing for the Continental army to come to them in Princeton after they succeed in the battle of Trenton. The British were smart to prepare for the attack but were not prepared enough. The British guarded the Delaware river just incase Washington did the same thing. Washington was smart and left his campfires burn while they secretly went around the British base and separated them into groups and took them out one by one and claimed the victory in that battle. -
The Battle of Oriskany, Oriskany, New York
British troops marched to a colonial base demanding a surrender. More colonial men rush to the base to save it while they are ambushed by British men. Both sides lost many soldiers they british failed to capture the base and retreated. -
The Battle of Bennington, Bennington, New York
Considered to be the turning point of the war. The colonial forces successfully defeated two British detachments which was a great victory for them. -
The Battle of Brandywine, Near Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania
The British were successful in which they were able to push back the colonist all the way to philadelphia because the British are slowly taking over more land. -

A two part battle part one was won by the americans it was a small victory for the americans but they were happy to take it because without winning party 1 they may not have won part 2 -

A big battle in which the British were lead to the continental army. This was the beginning of a good offensive attack against the British they were outnumbered by the british but they put up a fight even though in the end they still lost the war. -

The colonist break down the british forces that were trekking down from Philadelphia so the colonies get the win over england. -

The patriotas were holding England in place until they would surrender and give the patriots the win. -
The Siege of Charleston, Charleston, South Carolina
The worst defeat that the colonist had to face they had to surrender to the british because they were so out numbered to the british's 10,000 men. -
The Battle of Camden, North of Camden, South Carolina
The British were outnumbered because of a disease but that didn't stop them they pushed aggressively against they colonist and came out with the victory in that battle. -
The Battle of King's Mountain, Near Blackburn, SC and King's Mountain, NC
Important victory to the colonist it was the biggest victory that the colonist had since the British took over Charleston. -

Turning point in the southern colonies after they lost the previous battle they were prepared to take on the British and they succeeded in beating them in the battle of cowpens. -
The Battle of Guilford Courthouse, Guilford Courthouse, North Carolina
Even though the British were the ones who won this tactical battle they had suffered many more losses then the colonist did. The colonist might have lost the battle but they still won because they took out many more British forces. -
The Battle of Eutaw Springs, Near present-day Eutawville, South Carolina
The hardest and bloodiest battle in the entire revolution. It proved to be the last major engagement of the war to take place in the South. The patriots won this one having nearly total control of the south. -
The Battle of Yorktown, Yorktown, Virginia
The last battle of the American Revolution. The british surrendered to Washington when the american and french forces trapped them in the town of yorktown. This surrender ended the American Revolution.
