Fort Ticonderoga
A small force of Americans led by Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold overtook a British held fort. This later led to the breaking of the standings at the Siege of Boston. -
Bunker Hill
The battle was fought during the siege of boston and took place on what is known as breed hill. The commanders were William Prescott and William Howe. This battle led the British to be more cautious in later battles. -
Battle of Trenton and Princeton
Battle that took place shortly after General Washington crossed the Delaware River. This small battle was an American victory and was a huge inspiration to the American forces. -
Battle of Saratoga
British General John Burgoyne led a large army south from Canada hoping to run into more British military but the help never came and he was surrounded by American forces which resulted in 2 battle which were both won by Americans led by Horatio Gates. -
Siege of Charleston
Major Benjamin Lincoln was crushed in the South by the British. It would end up being one of the worst American losses. -
Battle of King’s Mountain
It was a battle between Patriots and British loyalists which led to a Patriot victory. The sides were led by William Campbell and Patrick Ferguson. -
Battle of Yorktown
It was the last major land battle of the American Revolution. The Americans were led by General Washington and French forces who forced General Cornwallis to surrender leading to an American victory.
