    The Battles of Lexington and Concord
    This battle was the start of the Revolutionary War. Over 700 British troops marched into Lexington and Concord in search for weapons. Fighting would soon break out and the British would eventually have to retreat back to Boston
  • The Siege of Fort Ticonderoga

    The Siege of Fort Ticonderoga
    A group of militiamen lead by Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold surprised the sleeping British. They would capture Fort Ticonderoga and gain many supplies and artillery.

    The Battle of Chelsea Creek
    Was the first naval fight of the War. The colonist's goal in this battle was to destroy the British livestock and supplies. They did this by destroying the ship Diana and gathering the British weapons.

    The colonists fortified Breed's Hill and other areas around the Charlestown Peninsula. Hearing about this the British sent out many forces to take control of the hills. There would be many British casualties, but they would eventually win this battle.

    Washington and his troops established a position in White Plains but came under fire after Howe's troops gained the high ground. Washington would have to retreat further North.

    After gaining land in White Plains General Howe and his troops were aiming for Fort Washington. General Greene was ordered by General Washington to leave the fort. This order was denied and fighting would begin, eventually, the Americans would have to surrender.

    After George Washington crossed the Delaware River, he lead the continental army against the Hessian forces. General Washington would come out victorious. This battle lead to many re-enilistments

    General Washington and his troops pushed back a smaller group of British forces. This battle would boost the Patriots morale and would gain many recruits to join the army.

    A group of loyalists and a group of American Indians ambushed an American party. This battle was one of the bloodiest battles in the entire war. The Colonists would eventually win, but many men were killed or wounded.

    An American force of 2,000 men led by John Stark defeated a group of John Burgoyne's army. Over 700 British soldiers were captured and 207 were killed meanwhile, there were minor losses for the Americans.

    The British Army defeated the Americans forcing them to retreat to Philadelphia. This was also the longest single-day battle of the war which lasted around 11 hours.

    This battle is known as the turning point in the Revolutionary War. General Burgoyne and his British troops fought against Daniel Morgans infantry on a farm. It was a very close battle, but the British stood their ground.

    British soldiers set up a camp in Germantown. Washington had sent a surprise attack, but his army didn't do it as planned. Causing the British to drive away the Americans.

    George Washington lost his temper before this battle. He commanded General Lee to harass the British until he had arrived, but this was not done. Which lead to many death and wounded men in the battle, but eventually the British retreated.

    The Americans were trying to hold a city from the British. The Americans could no longer hold on, allowing the British to take control of the city.

    After about six weeks of fighting between the two sides, Major General Lincoln would have to surrender. This was one of the worst defeats for the Americans in the war.

    Was the last major engagement in the Carolinas. Both sides claimed victory in this battle, but this would push the British away.

    A decisive victory for the French and Continental Army. This was the last major land battle of the American Revolutionary War. This lead to the British government to negotiate a plan to end the war.
