First Continental Congress
On september 5, 1774 the first continental convention was held at Carpenter's Hall in Philadelphia. During this timke period colonists experienced trouble with taxes, which caused trouble throughout the colonies. They were facing a major problem, NoTaxation Without Representaion. -
Paul Revere's ride
On the evening of april 18th news of the british (also known as the red coats) were coming to attack. Paul Revere, William Dawes, and Samuel Prescott rode on their horses to Lexington saying The British are coming. They rode toward's Lexington on midnight. -

The Battle Of Bunker Hill was a long, and well known battle. TheMilitia men made a fort over looking Boston Harbor. The militia men were winning until they ran out of gun powder so the British won. This war was the bloodiest war out of all of the other battles. -

Decleration of Independence is presented to congress
On July 4th the decleration of independence was presented to congress. Congeress then approved the document. This approval made the United States independant from Britan. -
Crossing the Delaware River
Washington made a plan to cross the Delaware River on Christmas night to suprise the British, because he knew they wouldn't be prepared. So on the evening of December 25 Washington and his army crossed the Delawaare River. He suprised the british in New Jersey and then won the battle of Trenton. -

Cheseakpe Bay
British troops came in large numbers to Cheseakpe Bay so they could fight at the end of the Revolutionary War. -
British surrender
French Ships holding British supplies was shot and was too damaged so it had to retreat. Then General Charles Corwallis and his army had to surrender because they were limited on supplies (such as weapons) and were outnumbered.
