    Samuel Adams
    A member of the Massachusetts colony, he was strongly against the British taxation laws, he was one of the more violent members of 13 colonies. He was against the stamp act and was a key figure in the Boston Tea Party, which was when Americans showed disobedience against the British by throwing tea into the Boston Harbor, because of this the British waged war against the Patriots.

    The Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4th, 1776, in Philadelphia. The Document was written by Thomas Jefferson, and edited by members of the colonies, such as Benjamin Franklin and John Adams. The piece was written to declare independence from Great Britain due to their heavy tax laws; the colonies also wanted to secure a future for the later generations to come, they wanted to protect their children from tyrannical rule. nevertheless, the new renamed "states" agreed to stay united.

    After their Declaration of Independence the colonies agreed to change their flag, which originally had the union jack embedded on it, and since the states wanted nothing to do with the British anymore, they redesigned the flag, so that there was 13 stripes, alternating between red and white, with 13 stars to symbolize the 13 colonies or as they prefer to be called, states.

    Battle of Saratoga
    This may have been one of the most revolutionary wars that decided the outcome of the American Revolution. Mainly because, after the American victory at Saratoga, the French recognized the Patriots determination, hence they ended up joining up against the British, giving the Americans the edge over Great Britain. This war was also known due to the fact that almost 20,000 British soldiers surrendered despite the Patriots lack of resources and military power.

    Lafayette became affiliated with America through their struggle against the British, so when he arrived, because of his nobility, the Patriots saw him as a very valuable asset hence he was able to meet and become friends with George Washington. In 1777, Lafayette went into the valley of winter forge, where temperatures plummeted, in this time he helped Washington get the congress to aid the continental army, and without his help, for all we know, America could still be under British rule.

    French Alliance of 1778
    After finding out that the Patriots are going to fight against the British crown, the french decided to aid the Americans in order to fight against the mutual threat, and since the french didn't like the British, it was a win-win situation. There was also a mutual gain from this alliance as well since the French would aid the Americans if a war broke out between the patriots and the British and it was likewise for the Americans protecting the French.

    As Washington and his 11,000 men, marched through Valley Forge, Pennsylvania the army was really struck hard by the harsh conditions, ranging from hypothermia to other types of diseases, the only reason the army powered through was only due to their loyalty to general Washington and purely the fact that they wanted their independence as they stood for the patriot cause.

    Infamous for betraying the continental army all in order to gain power and influence. Although he was regarded as a successful military leader, as he participated in the capture of Fort Ticonderoga. Ever his his betrayal to the continental army his name has become related to the word "traitor" as after he was discovered, he fled into British territory all in order to save his own skin.

    A battle that happened in the South between Major Ferguson's Tory force and General Lord Cornwallis' North Carolina invasion force, since the patriots held the upper ground, Cornwallis' army were often sniped from a safe distance, but even so it was inevitable Ferguson made a suicidal decision for his men, they charged head first into a barrage of bullets, suffering heavy casualties, including the death of Ferguson himself, and because of this the mortality rates of the patriots skyrocketed.

    Mutiny of unpaid Pennsylvanian Soliders
    The continental soldiers demanded a higher wage, hence they refused to work unless they were given higher pay and better housing. Almost 400 soldiers refused to fight as a result of the wages they were being paid, if the mutiny was not resolved this could've been detrimental to the Patriots army and it may have caused them the war against the British.

    Just before the battle of York Town, located in South Carolina the Patriots fought a major battle against the British, under Brigadier General Daniel Morgan. The nature of the battle was like an ambush, soldiers rushed into British Forces who thought that it was only a few that challenged them, so they pursued the Americans into a barrage of soldiers who opened fire upon the British, the British suffered 8 many times the casualties compared to the Patriots.
  • Battle of York Town

    Battle of York Town
    The battle began on September 28th, the British had arrived to York town, General Washington, led his army against the British General known as Charles Cornwallis, eventually Cornwallis surrendered his 8000 troops due to the fact that the planned reinforcements that were meant to arrive from New York never came. Despite Cornwallis' successful career, the battle of York Town in Virginia was unfortunately his last.
