French and Indian war
The French and Indian war started from ongoing frontier tensions in North America. In North America pitted the, French colonists, and their Native allies against Great Britain, the Anglo-American colonists, and the Iroquois Confederacy, which controlled most of upstate New York and parts of northern Pennsylvania. Any way this event was important because if this wouldn't have happened the french would of lost all territory to Indians. -
Sugar Act
The purpose of the Sugar Act was to induce importers to buy molasses from British colonies instead of smuggling it from competing French and Spanish. -
Quartering Act
The Quartering Act was passed because british troops found it hard to persuade assemblies to pay for quartering and provinsoning. This event was important because if this wasn't passed it wouldn't have lead to Pennsylvania refusing the act and was expired on March 24, 1767 -
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was a fight against the British gaurds and a mob of patriots. The patriots were throwing rocks, snowballs, and sticks at the gaurds. -
The Tea Act
The tea act was a parliment passed by the British East India Company Tea. The Tea Act was the final straw in a series of polices and taxes. The Act immposed no new taxes on the American Colonists. The tax was kept in order to maintain the parliments right to tax the colonists. It was an important evvent because if we wouldn't have had that happen we still could have been under British rule and still have to pay all the unfear taxes. -
The Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party was when the Sons of Liberty boarded three ships disguised Mohawk Indians all armed with assotments of axes. when they got to the cargo bay, they smashed and threw 340 boxes of British East Company India Tea into Boston Harbor. 92,000 pounds of tea were lost in the harbor that night. General Cornwallis surrenders because the reinforcements he expected were failed to break French naval ship attacks. So the French and American Rebels surrounded them in Yorktown. This event was important because this was one of the major turning points in the Revolutionary War. -
