  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    The first battles of the Revolution. The British were hoping to capture Sam Adams and John Hancock. The Boston Militia was warned by Paul Revere, known by his famous midnight ride. Roughly over 120 men died in this war; however, no one knows for sure of what caused the war.
  • Battle of Ticonderoga

    Fort Ticonderoga was captured by the colonist on May 10, 1775. Green Mountain Boys were the militia of this battle, which was led by Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill took place in 1775. William Prescott led the colonists in the battle. On both sides, they were running low on men to fight. Sadly, the British won the battle and John Trumbull died in the war.
  • Battle of Trenton

    George Washington led the Battle of Trenton. In addition, he crossed the Delaware River. Washington chose Christmas morning to launch a secret attack. The results of the battle, nearly the entire of Hessian Force was captured.
  • Battle of SaraToga

    The battle of Saratoga was fought in New York. The British and Hessian surrendered their arms; John Burgoyne lost 86% of his troops. The impact on the French was that they became alliances with America. Horatio Gates and Benedict Arnold led the American Colonels. It was called a turning point of the war because it was crucial victory for the Patriots.
  • Battle of YorkTown

    The battle of Yorktown was significant to american revolution because it was the time when the British forces surrendered. Charles Cornwallis surrendered to Washington. The French helped America to win the battle. The results of the war was that the British were defeated which ended the entire American Revolutionary war.
