  • navigation acts

    The Navigation Acts were laws passed by England maintain control over colonial trade. The acts made colonist buy English goods and limited trade between the colonies and other countries.
  • Treaty of Paris

    The document that ended the war between the British and the French that was fought over the Ohio River Valley. This treaty ended French power in North American and expanded British territory.
  • Proclamation Line

    This was so Colonist couldn't settle west. it was important to keep Natives and Colonists from fighting.
  • sugar act

    it required the colonists to pay 6 pence tax on molasses, sugar, coffee, wines, ect.... it was used to have people pay more.
  • writs of assistance

    served as general search warrants that did not expire, allowing customs officials to search anywhere for smuggled goods without having to obtain a specific warrant. it was a free pass
  • quartering act

    required the colonies to house British soldiers in barracks provided by the colonies.
  • stamp act

    the British wernt making enough money to pay for the war so they made an act where you had to buy stamps1765 and put a stamp on every piece of legal paper work.

    a meeting held in new York city consisting of representatives from some of the British colonies in North America

    the British saw how the colonists acted towards the stamp act. they repeal it but the same year they make another law.

    it was a series of acts put on the colonists after the Boston tea party happened.

    a meeting of delegates from twelve of the Thirteen Colonies who met at Carpenters Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, early in the American Revolution. they voted to ban all trade with the British until intolerable acts were repealed.

    the colonists sent the king a letter they said even though we fought twice there can still be peace, but the king rejected it.

    they meet in Philadelphia except for Georgia and vote to ban trade with the British until the intolerable act is repealed. then Paul revere and William dawes did there job of signaling to Charleston if the British were coming on land or sea. they got warned, minutemen where ready. the British go and destroyed the militia.

    meets in Philadelphia agreed to make Washington the general of the official army. they authorized printing of money to pay soldiers.
  • battle of bunker hill

    the minutemen take a hill outside, they alarmed the British attack with 2,200 soldiers. they unleashed a huge amount of fire at one time. the colonists knew they they were gonna lose because they didn't have a lot of ammo.
