    Paul Revere's Ride
    Paul Revere's Ride took place on the night of April 18th 1775 . It Was a crucial event in the early stages of the American Revolutionary War. Paul Revere along with fellow riders William Dawes and Samuel Prescott set out to warn the colonists of the approaching British forces. Revere’s mission was to alert the colonists of Lexington and Concord that British troops were marching to seize military supplies and arrest leaders like John Hancock and Samuel Adams.

    This battle was the first to initiate the American Revolution. Tensions were rising between the 13 colonies and the British government. The Battle happened on April 19th,1775. The night before, hundreds of British troops marched to a nearby Concord to seize an ammo cache. Paul Revere sounded an alarm and everyone was aware that the British were attacking. Then the British and the colonies were battling with intense gun fire. The Americans won the Battle in 1783 and gained their independence.

The Americans had limited ammunition so they wanted to be careful when they shot.As soon as they saw the redcoats of the British they let loose and shot at the British.The British fell back and regrouped and formed a new line to attack.The British ended up winning the Battle of Bunker Hill .

The Hessians were German mercenaries fighting for the British. They were caught off guard and quickly overwhelmed. The battle resulted in an American victory. It provided a boost of morale for the Americans.

In late 1776 these documents were written to inspire the American colonists to continue their fight for independence from the British government. The first document famously starting with the line “These are the times that try men's Souls” was published on December 19th ,1776 at a time when the morale of the Continental Army and the general public was very low.

He wanted to take over Philadelphia which was then the American Capital. The campaign included several key battles such as the Battle of Brandywine on September 11th 1777 where the British defeated the Continental Army forcing them to retreat. The British managed to take over Philadelphia then George Washington tried to take the land back.

The troops received training from Baron Friedrich Von Steuben, a military officer that set hard training. His drills and disciplines improved the Army Effectiveness and cohesion.

The battle began on September 28th, 1781 and involved a combination of land and Naval operations. The French naval forces blocked British reinforcements from reaching while American and French troops circled the British positions on land. On October 19th, 1781 the British surrendered to Washington ending the war.

    The Treaty of Paris signed on September 3rd, 1783 officially ended the American Revolutionary War. The key negotiators were representatives from the United States including Benjamin Franklin ,John Adams, and John Jay and representatives from Great Britain. The treaty recognized the independence of the United States and established its borders which extended West to the Mississippi River North to Canada and South to Florida.
