    Lexington and Concord
    British troops called the Red coat were coming to Concord, and the Minutemen were notified. When they came the British told them to turn down, a alone shot was fired and Minutemen started falling.The British then started going to Concord after the 15 minute battle in Lexington and found an empty arena. Thousands of minute mens surprised the British and slatured them.
  • Buker Hill

    Buker Hill
    British soldiers were fighting against the Colonist on a hill. Thousand British soldiers died, and hundred of minute men were too. This was known as the deadliest battle. People were hoping for peace, but the King announced that the Colonist were rebelling against them.
  • New York

    British wanted to cover New York so the American Colonist would not attack. It did not take long until they turned back. George Washington took a risk and planned a surprise attack on the Hessians who helped the British.
  • Philadelphia

    In September, after the surprise attack on the British troop they regrouped. The British soldiers end up attacking and capturing the American Capital of Philadelphia.
  • Valley Forge

    During this time with George washington 2000 soldiers were dying. They were in the cold, and low on supplies. The ones who survived stood to fight.

    At this time French were creating alliances with America. They believed they could actually win the war.

    French and American troops went to Yorks town. The French blocked the entrance of the bay and they all surrounded the British troops. The british finally surrendered.
