    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    The battle took place at Lexington and Concord. The Patriots won this battle. When the British figured out the patriots storied their arms at Concord, they sent thousands of soldiers to march to Concord. The British took heavy losses, but they burned some of the weapons. After the battle they marched back to their ship.

    This battle took place at Bunker Hill. The British won this battle. The Patriots were stationed at the top of Bunker Hill. The Patriots retreated because they ran out of gunpowder, but the British lost a lot of soldiers.

    This battle took place at New York's port. The British won this battle. George Washington thought the city's harbor was an excellent base. When the British came, the Patriots panicked and retreated to their main defenses at Brooklyn Heights. Washington evacuated his army out of New York.

    This Battle took place in Trenton. The Continental Army won this battle. The Hessian force at Trenton numbered 1,400 under the command of Colonel Johann Rall. The force was so drunk that they didn't expect them coming. The Hessians quickly surrendered.

    This battle took place in Saratoga. The Continental Army won this battle. General Burgoyne attacked an American supply base but he was defeated. Then he retreated to Saratoga, but he was surrounded by General Horatio.

    This battle took place in Monmouth. The battle was a draw between the Continental Army and the British. Lieutenant General Henry Clinton, received orders to follow a defensive strategy and take forces in New York City. George Washington sent his second in command and some of his men to take on the British, but they retreated. So George Washington had to fight with what he had.
  • The Battle of Cowpens

    The Battle of Cowpens
    This battle was fought near Cowpens, South Carolina. This was won by the Continental Army. Brigadier General Daniel Morgan took 300 Continental riflemen and some 700 militiamen with the intention of attacking the British backcountry fort, Ninety-Six. In response, Cornwallis dispatched Banastre Tarleton with 1,100 Redcoats and Loyalists to catch Morgan. As Tartan's men attacked, Morgen instructed the militia. The British took it the wrong way and did a calvery charge and lost a lot of soldiers.
  • The Battle/Siege of Yorktown

    The Battle/Siege of Yorktown
    This battle was fought in Yorktown. The Continental Army won this battle. This was the final battle of the Revolutionary War. George Washington was commanding a force of 17,000 French and Continental Soldiers against British Lord Charles Cornwallis and 9,000 British troops. Washington ordered the French Navy fleet to block British from escaping by sea. Then, Washington ordered the generals and the soldiers to encircle or trap the British in Yorktown. On October 17, 1781 Cornwallis surrendered.
