Bunker hill located near Boston. Americans ran out of ammunition. Moral victory for American army. The British casualties were 1,054 and the British casualties were 441. -

Final attemp to avoid full on war between the 13 colonies and Great Britian. The petition affirmed American loyalty to Great Britain. -

A pamplet written by Thomas Paine tnat inspired people in the 13 colonies to declare and fight for independence from Great Britain. -

The Declaration of Independence
Written by Thomas Jefferson. It is the "Birth certificate of the United States" Document listed rights and grievances against King George the third. John Hanncock was the first to sign in large print. Anyone who signed it would be caught and hanged. -
The Battle of Trenton
Supprise attack the day after Christmas. Approximatly 1000 German soldiers fighting for the British that were captured. -
The Batte of Saratoga
The turning point in the war. Approximately 5,000 British surrendered to Washington. Febuary 17, 1778 France and America formed an alliance. -
The Battle of Yorktown
French blockade aided this final battle. Escaped from the British was impossible. Approximately 8,700 British troops surrendered. General Benjamin Lincoln accepted the surrendered sword. -
The Treaty of Paris
Ends the revolutionary war.Florida was returned to Spain.
