    The main purpose of these two acts was to gain back imperial control of america.The first Quartering act was to force the American colonist to house the British Soldiers. however, the British soldiers mainly forced the American colonist to move out . The king said this was not intended to take homes. this act was renewed in 1774 and it it said that it was one of the causes that the congress had it first meeting.

    Paul Revere "THE BRITISH ARE COMING"
    Paul was warned by Joseph Warren that the British troops were going to Lexington and concord and more were coming in boats. Revere went to Charlestown and started riding his horse to Lexington yelling his famous words to every house that was insight making sure they heard him and started getting ready. He went riding through Somerville, Medford, and Arlington. he made it to his destination at midnight making sure every house heard the news.

    the American revolution started with the American colonist that rebelled against the British Kingdom. The events that lead up to this rebellion was the Stamp act Tea act and the Boston Massacre. The american colonist were paying too much high taxes, they also saw how the British government was taking advantage of them.

    The Declaration of Independence was signed in Philadelphia. All colonies signed and agreed to the declaration except New York. Thomas Jefferson was the creator of the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration was written to Great Britain. The American colonist wanted to separation from Great Britain.

    On Christmas night in 1776 George Washington has decided to take his men across the Delaware River in row boats. they made it across in the morning. after the boat trip they started to walk 9 miles all the way to Trenton New Jersey. Unfortunately, they had to walk through sleet and snow, however they found the British Troop sleeping from being drunk. They took advantage of this benefit at hand and ambushed the British troop. They killed 30 troops and took 918 of them captive.

    about 30,000 German soldiers to help the British fight since the american colonist allied with the French. the hessian's were Germans that were hired to fight and they came from the state Hesse-Cassel. it wasn't unusual for countries to hire other soldier from other places.

    Lafayette wanted to go to america ,however the king and his family disapproved of it. he met two friends Comte de Borglie and Baron Johan de Kalb which also wanted to go to America so soon enough they went. in July 31 he was commissioned a General by Congress. after that he led his men to battles.

    There are other parts to the battle of Sartoga and they are smaller battles.
    -one of them was the battle of Freemen's farm. It was in September 19 where General John Burgoyne (British) took his soldiers south but was interrupted at the freemens farm in Virginia. At first the British were losing however the German Hessian arrived and help them win the battle.

    Benjamin Franklin went to France so the French can sigh a treaty to help the American colonist separate from the British. The treaties were the Treaty of Amity, Commerce, and Alliance. The Treaty of Amity and Commerce was to realize that the Americans were separating and that there would be trade between France and America. The Treaty of Alliance was to recognize that there was an alliance between France and America and that they were against Great Britain in the revolution.

    The Peace commission was the first sign of negotiation from the British Empire. The negotiation was that the British Empire would take away some acts such as the Tea act and the Massachusetts Government act for a self-ruled land. So the Americans would be able to rule there one land however they will still be apart of the British Empire. The American Congress Recognized the negotiation and rejected it they wanted to be a completely separated country they wanted to Do nothing with Great Britain.

    Benedict was an American general that fought in the American Revolution. He was a traitor in the war, he went to the British side and deceived the Americans. Benedict caused the British invasion of New York in the Battle of Lake Champlain. He made a secret negotiation with the British Empire agree that he would give them the U.S post West Point in return for money and a command over the British army
  • The Surrender, Battle of Yorktown

    The Surrender, Battle of Yorktown
    This battle was located in Yorktown Virginia. George Washington's American forces and and General Comte de Rochambeau French Troops joined there forces to make 17,000 troops in total against 9,000 British soldiers. George Washington pretended that he was going to attack York town only to attract British soldiers, which they did. The British knew what they did and found out they were outnumbered by the American and French alliances and they put down there weapons and surrendered.
