French & Indian war
George Washington was sent to Ohio river valley because colonist were invating the area that the French claimed. George Washington and his troops were captured and later on realesed. England won almost all of the territory the French claimed in North America. -
Proclamation of 1763
King George 3 said that the area west of the Appalachians was for the Indians only. The colonist weren't too happy with the kings decision. -
Sugar act
Parliament passed new taxes on colonist to pay for the cost of British soldiers that were still in the colonies. Taxes were raised for imported sugar. The colonist were very unhappy with this. -
Stamp act
The stamp act was passed in 1765. It was passed to pay for militaries in the colonies. -
Quartering act
The Quartering act was a hidden act. With this act colonist had to provide food and housing to British troops. -
The Boston massacre
On March 5,1770 the Boston massacre accrued. Some colonist were taunting British troops in a confrontation. The British soldiers killed 5 townspeople during the confrontation. -
Tea act
Parliament passed the tea act boost. All profits for the tea would be for the British east India company. The law gave the company the right to sell tea in the colonies. -
Boston tea party
A group of people from Boston dressed as Indians dumped chests of tea into the Boston harbor. The British government lost a lot of revenue because of this. -

Parliament passed acts to punish people for the cause of the Boston tea party. -
Battle of Lexington and concord
The battle was based on a open arm conflict between British soldiers and the 13 colonies. The war started because the British tried taking away colonist gunpowder. -
Declaration of independence
The Declaration of Independence states that the 13 colonies are 13 different states and that they are no longer part of the British empire. -
Battle of Yorktown
The battle was the end of British operations in the 13 colonies. It was for the recognition of American independence. -
Treaty of Paris
The treaty of Paris ended the revolutionary war between Great Britain and the United States. -

Articles of confederation is an agreement between all 13 original states in the United States of America which was its first constitution. -
New constitution
America attempted to creat it's government but failed several times. the new constitution allows for increased federal authority and still protecting the rights of the people -
Bill of rights
The bill of rights is the first 10 amendments to the United States constitution. The bill of rights guarantees freedom and rights to people, it also the limits of our government.
