It was a group of 56 delegates from 12 colonies, who came to discuss, and respond to the brutal acts. The Congress created the Continental Amy, so the armed forces wouldn't be disorganized. -
The Declaration Of Independence (signed)
A document stating that the 13 American colonies were now independent from Great Britain, Americans signed it, and Britain's response was to continue the war. -
Battle of Brooklyn
It was an actual Battle between the British and Americans, the British tried to trap the Americans in Brooklyn, the Americans had retreated to the darkness. This was the first British victory. -
Valley Forge
This was a harsh war, the american army set out to New Jersey to fight the British to a stand still nine days later. -
Savannah
It was a resounding of British victory for the British. A joint American-French Force tried to take back the city. -
Kings Mountain
It was an American victory near the North and South Carolina borders that destroyed one whole section of Cornwallis's army. -
Cowpens
A Decisive American Victory, where American forces met the British forces near some cow pens, the Americans won the day with a mass surrender, this convinced Cornwallis which would lead him to Yorktown where he would have his final surrender.
