  • Protest of Stamp Act

    American colonists, having recently fought in support of Britain, rose up in protest against the tax before it went into effect. The protests began with petitions, led to refusals to pay the tax, and eventually to property damage and harassment of officials.
  • Stamp Act

    The new tax was imposed on all American colonists and required them to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper they used. Ship's papers, legal documents, licenses, newspapers, other publications, and even playing cards were taxed. The money collected by the Stamp Act was to be used to help pay the costs of defending and protecting the American frontier near the Appalachian Mountains
  • Gaspee Affair

    Gaspee was known as a boat and a place called Gaspee Point. The boat was in a shallow spot and got stuck. It spread around the town and soon the boat was looted and burned
  • Boston Tea Party

    The East India Tracing Company had controlled the tea trading between India and the British colonies. With this tea tax the colonists refused to buy tea. The colnists stole tea and the East India Trading Company soon had warehouses full of unsold tea.

    The Coercive Acts, as they were popularly known in England, were introduced in 1774 by the new government of Lord North, who acted with the direct encouragement of George the third.

    This act was about when Quebec had set its boundries for other countries and there own country.

    King George made this document and it said that colonies who had open reblellious acts served severe penalties

    It was the first meeting between all of the leaders from all of the colonies

    The Second Continental Congress meeting started with the battle of Lexington and Concord fresh in their memories. The New England militia were still encamped outside of Boston trying to drive the British out of Boston

    Alot of written polocies about the britished were published in these articles. There were many volumes of these different articles.
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    The first shots starting this revolution were fired at Lexington, Massachussetts. Mid Spril 1775 a leader sent over 700 troops to sease the weapons of the colonists. John Hancock and Samuel Adams were arrested becasue they were the general leaders of the revolution.

    This was about Paul Revere's midnight ride to alert the colonists that the british are coming
  • George Washington gets Appointed General

    Due to his very heroic acts, George Washington was appointed from Colonel to General. From that point on making Washington General was a very smart and great move by the colonies.
