The French and Indian War
This was a war between the British and American Colonists and the French people. This war lasted for seven years. The Native Americans allied with the French. Unfortunately for them, they lost. -
King George III
King George III becomes king an ascends to the throne after his father Frederick, the Prince of Wales, died. He ruled Great Britain for about sixty years until 1820. -
End of French and Indian War
England and France both signed a treaty to finally end the War. New countries such as Canda and the continent on the east of the Mississipi River, added to Britain's ever-growing empire. -
The Stamp Act
The Parliament decided to tax the American Colonists on documents and other things just so England could pay the for the French and Indian War. The colonists got upset and called this "taxation without representation" because they didn't get to vote on it. -
Stamp Act repealed
The colonists "tarred and feathered" the tax collecters and boycotted the British. They were losing money fast because of this and so they stopped the Stamp Act. -
British Troops Arrive
England placed British Troops in the American Colonies and they had the right to stay in anybody's house to enforce the laws and the family was expected to house and feed them. The colonists were upset again. -
The Boston Massacre
British soldiers shot at the Boston citizens who were pestering the gaurds on duty. Five were killed and others were wounded even though it wasn't any of the soldier's intentions. -
The Boston Tea Party
The Parliament taxed the tea to show that they had the right to tax the American citizens. The colonies responded by dressing up as Native Americans and going overboard to the ships carrying the tea and threw it out of the ship into the sea. -
Minute Men
Therre were shots fired in Concord and Lexington. The "Minute Men" were the American Colonists' small army of militia who had to stop and fight the British whenever they needed to. They forced the British troops back into Boston While George Washington leads the American army. -

A big British Troops came to the New York Harbor to stop the rebellion going on in America -

Crossing the Delaware
George Washington crosses the Delaware River captures the Hessian force in New Jersey. -
Start of the American Revolution
The American Revolution eventually started and became war and France signed a treaty of alliance with the United States of America. -
The End of the Revolution
Fortunately, The Americans and French capture Lord Cornwallis and he surrenders the entire British Army. -
A Peace Treaty
England and the U.S.A. Both sign a peace treaty and in October, Washington settles into a private life. -
