The battle of Fort Ticonderoga took place in New York right next to Lake Champlain.The British only had one commander his name was William DeLaPlace.On the other hand the colonists had just one more commander than the British their names are Benedict Arnold and Ethan Allen.Even with more commanders the colonists weren’t ready to fight.They didn’t kill or wound anyone! But the British came prepared.They killed at least half of the colonists. Due to the lack of men,the colonists had they reteated. -
Battle of Bunker Hill and Breed's Hill
The battle of Bunker Hill and Breed’s Hill took place in Charlestown, Massachusetts.There was one British commander, his name was William Howe.But the colonies responded with three commanders they were Joseph Warren, Israel Putnam, and William Prescott.The British had more men than the colonies with 3,000 soldiers. The British killed, wounded, or captured at least 450 colonists. But the colonists didn’t do so well, just killing 226 British soldiers. When everything was said and done British won. -

The battle of Quebec didn’t start good for the colonists due to rain and high winds. The British sent in one commander he was William DeLaPlace. The colonist’s commanders were Benedict Arnold, Daniel Morgan, and Richard Montgomery. Since the colonists were outnumbered by at least 4,000 soldiers Benedict Arnold decided to retreat and letting the British to take the victory. -

The battle of Long Island took place in Long Island, New York. The British had many commanders some examples are Charles Cornwallis, Henry Clinton, and William Howe. There were also many commanders for the colonists some of them were George Washington, Israel Putnam, and William Alexander. In the first part of the battle George Washington lost a quarter of his men. Due to this George Washington ran retreated and the British claimed the victory. -

The battle of Trenton took place in New Jersey. The British had only two commanders their names were Johann Rall and Charles Cornwallis. On the other hand the colonists had only one man in charge and he was George Washington! The colonists had more men than the British! This played a big role in the colonist’s victory! Since the colonies had more men they killed, wounded, or captured 1,014 British soldiers. -

On the other hand there was only one man in charge for the colonists his name was George Washington. The British outnumbered the colonies by 3,500 men. The British killed, wounded, or captured 462 colonists. The British won, but some said it was the only draw in the Revolutionary War. -

The battle of Charlestown took place in South Carolina. There were two commanders for the British they were Mariot Arbuthnot and Henry Clinton. The colonies only had Benjamin Lincoln in charge for this battle. The British outnumbered the colonies by 8,030 men! This played a huge role in the British victory. Even though the British had more men they killed, wounded, or captured 4,890 colonists. -
Battle of Yorktown
The battle of Yorktown took place in Virginia. The British had only one commander he was Charles Cornwallis. The man in charge for the colonies was George Washington. The battle of Yorktown was the last battle of the American Revolution. The colonists outnumbered the British by 11,620 men. The colonists killed, wounded, or captured 8,642 men. Seeing his men disappear Charles Cornwallis tried to run away but George Washington made him surrender putting an end to the American Revolution!
